Rocky Point Cycle is a full service bicycle shop in Rocky Point, NY. We are looking for a full time, experienced bicycle mechanic. Previous bicycle shop experience is preferred, but not required. We are looking for someone who is interested in and has experience working on bikes of all shapes and styles.
Responsibilities would include:
-Performing satisfactory repairs on bikes in a timely manner
-Creating work tickets in Lightspeed and assessing bikes for repair
-Pricing and communicating with customers on repairs
-Helping customers on the sales floor
-Answering the phone
We are looking for candidates with experience in the following types of work and mechanical systems:
-Wheel truing
-Hydraulic disc brakes
-Derailleur adjustments
-Loose ball bearing adjustment and servicing
-Various crank and bottom bracket standards
-Various headset standards
-Tubeless
-Suspension
